I will say in my 24 years of life I have met numerous entitled brats. Most are either in the child or teenage years. They throw a fit because the world does not revolve around them and or do not get what they want. On some days I could have been labeled as one as well during my adolescence years. A surprise to some, Lebron James has once again demonstrated his childish behavior because the NBA does not revolve around his self-proclaimed “King” status. Here is why.
NBA players this season can choose from a list of possible messages for their jerseys to recognize and support anti-racism protests or movements. I commend the NBA for this because it shows the league is behind its players. Those said players want a voice and league executives are giving them a chance to use their voice to support movements that matter to that individual. And what does “The King” have to say about this new proclamation. He declines to be involved because and I quote “I would have loved to have a say-so on what would have went on the back of my jersey.”
Lebron, just because you were not involved in the direct process does not mean you get to throw a bitch fit about the NBA not consulting basketball’s “Majesty”. Am I surprised? Absolutely not. This is the same guy back in 2019 who criticized Rockets GM Daryl Morey for supporting the democratic demonstrations and protests in China. He later then backtracked, but we all know he was reluctant for anyone to criticize the country to keep his financial means and income safe and stable.
The guy is a hypocritical, self-centered, brat. “The King” had a momentous opportunity to help bring the league to the forefront of social change and what does he do instead on multiple occasions? Cries like the child he is because Daddy (Adam Silver) did not talk to him first or someone messed with his billions. Get the hell outta here.
