We made it guys. It’s been a rough bumpy road, but we made it. Covid-19 is a hot topic in the sports world now a days and I’m glad we finally get a real sports event to be upset about, laugh about, cry about and be excited for. 2020 has been full of surprises and tonight we get the cherry on top. We get the NFL Draft. Enjoy my final mock draft as I get ready to enjoy my Bengals make the number #1 pick and I’ll be popping champagne at 5:05 pm to celebrate. Here we go!
32. Kansas City Chiefs
AJ Terrell CB, Clemson
Aj Terrell got cooked in the National Championship game, but it was against the unstoppable LSU Tigers. That might have been best case scenario for Terrell as he still lands in the first round and goes to a team on the verge of a repeat.
31. San Francisco 49ers
Josh Jones OL, Houston
Like I’ve said before I full expect the 49ers to trade back into the 2nd and 3rd round, but for now I’ll mock them Houston O-lineman Josh Jones. Jones is a long tackle that can help fortify San Fran’s offensive line for another possible Super Bowl run in 2020.
30. Green Bay Packers
Tee Higgins WR, Clemson
Aaron Rodgers might kiss the front office if they get Tee Higgins at 30. Higgins has been compared to Aj Green and was freak at Clemson. They only way to upgrade from Trevor Lawrence at QB? Aaron Rodgers.
29. Tennessee Titans
Jaylen Johnson CB, Utah
The Titans are gonna have 2 PAC-12 corners after taking Johnson at 29. Johnson was a stud at Utah and he is a very versatile corner. Johnson should be competing for a day 1 starting job in Nashville.
28. Baltimore Ravens
Jalen Reagor WR, TCU
The Ravens go back to back on first round receivers. They can’t seem to get Antonio Brown on the team and Lamar Jackson is going to need more weapons to throw to after that tough playoff loss at home.
27. Seattle Seahawks
Yetur Gross-Matos EDGE, Penn State
Gross-Matos heads to Seattle to take over for Jadaveon Clowney. YGM can play the run like no other and Pete Carroll should be salivating for the chance to draft the Penn State product.
26. Miami Dolphins
Grant Delpit S, LSU
The Miami Dolphins take the first safety off the board and it’s good one. Delpit is an all-American National Champion that balled the fuck out for LSU. Grant could put on a little weight but he has shown his ability to play in the box.
25. Minnesota Vikings
Brandon Aiyuk WR, ASU
A long quick receiver lands in Minneapolis to try and fill the void that Stephon Diggs left. Aiyuk does have some injury issue but would be considered as one of the top receivers in this year’s draft.
24. New Orleans Saints
Patrick Queen LB, LSU
The New Orleans Saints pick up a local freak here in Queen. Queen can make an instant impact by helping fill some holes on NOLA’s defense. Queen’s got sideline to sideline speed and can be the king of New Orleans if he succeeds.
23. New England Patriots
Austin Jackson OL, USC
Bill Belichick finds a hidden gem late in the first round. Austin Jackson is great find here for the Pats late in the draft. Jackson is a super athletic tackle and should help Stidham in his first or second year.
22. Minnesota Vikings
Kristian Fulton CB, LSU
The Vikings fill a need here at CB after losing Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander. Fulton is a National Championship winning corner back and went toe to toe with the SEC’s best in 2019.
21. Philadelphia Eagles
Justin Jefferson WR, LSU
Eagles have zero receivers on their roster. Jefferson should be and instant impact for Philly and should immediately boost Carson Wentz’s stock. Jefferson can help the Eagles get over the playoff hump.
20. Jacksonville Jaguars
Jordan Love QB, Utah State
The Jags shock the world here and take Jordan Love at 20. They have Minshew and could still add another veteran but it’s not out of this world for the Jags to add another QB in 2020.
19. Las Vegas Raiders
Kenneth Murray LB, Oklahoma
Another need fit here for the Vegas Raiders. Murray is a thumper and can help contain the running backs in the AFC West along with Patrick Mahomes. Murray should be a day 1 starter for the black and silver.
18. Washington Redskins via Miami
AJ Epenesa EDGE, Iowa
Washington gets its edge rusher and it’s not Chase Young. I had Washington trading back and picking up Epenesa along with a cart full of draft picks to help the rebuild.
17. Dallas Cowboys
CJ Henderson CB, Florida
Dallas goes with need at #17 with CJ Henderson and fill a tremendous need. After losing Byron Jones the Cowboys need to fill that corner spot and continue on their path to try and win a Super Bowl.
16. New York Giants via Atlanta
K’Lavon Chaisson EDGE, LSU
The Giants pick up a speed rusher after trading back with Atlanta and acquiring a boat load of picks. Giants are in a rebuild mode and in the works to get more pieces for Danny Dimes and Saquon.
15. Cleveland Browns via Denver
Mekhi Becton OL, Louisville
The Browns get the most athletic offensive lineman in the draft and help fill a need for Baker Mayfield. The Browns are in position for a big year after a disappointing 2019. Odell, Mayfield, Becton. Let’s go.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Andrew Thomas OL, Georgia
The rich get richer. Andrew Thomas is going to join Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski on their run for a Super Bowl. Thomas is arguably one of the top tackles in the draft and Tom Brady’s uniform should be kept clean cases of Thomas.
13. San Francisco 49ers
Javon Kinlaw DL, South Carolina
The Niners have been rumored to trade back, and I think they will, but for this mock I’ll keep it simple and give them the best player available. Kinlaw is a powerful hand technician and help fill the hole that De’Forest Buckner left behind.
12. Las Vegas Raiders
Jerry Jeudy WR, Alabama
The Raiders should be stoked to get Jeudy at 12. Jeudy does have a lingering knee issue but is questionably the most polished route runner in the draft. Jeudy should be a day 1 starter and help DC keep his job in Vegas.
11. New York Jets
Henry Ruggs III WR, Alabama
The Jets need to get help for Sam Darnold after losing Robby Anderson and they’ll most likely fill the void with Ruggs. Ruggs is a track star and should help the Jets put up more points and eventually win more games.
10. Denver Broncos via Cleveland
CeeDee Lamb WR, Oklahoma
The Broncos trade up to grab the first receiver off the board and they grab the stud from Norman. CeeDee Lamb is an electric receiver who can stretch the field for Drew Lock and Courtland Sutton and help the Broncos win more games.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars
Derrick Brown DL, Auburn
Jaguars have two picks in the top 20 and they take advantage of a run stuffer here. Derrick Brown is a force in the middle and has unlimited energy. Great pick by the Jags here.
8. Arizona Cardinals
Tristan Wirfs OL, Iowa
Cardinals fortify their offensive line and provide help for Kyler Murray. Wirfs is a stud and should give Kyler time to find D-Hop down the field. Wirfs is the 2nd best tackle and 2nd off the board.
7. Carolina Panthers
Jeff Okudah CB, Ohio State
The Panthers get an absolute steal here at #7 as trades cause Okudah to fall on the draft board. Okudah is a lockdown corner and the Panthers fill a need execute by taking the best player on the board.
6. Los Angeles Chargers
Tua Tagovailoa QB, Alabama
The Chargers just got new uniforms and they pick up a new quarterback a week later. Tua should sit behind Tyrod Taylor for a few years and he can heal up and learn the playbook as Taylor leads the Chargers into a new stadium.
5. Washington Redskins Via Miami
Jedrick Wills JR. OL, Alabama
I love the idea of the Redskins trading back, and I can see it happening. The Redskins have been fielding calls for the #2 pick and in my mock they take the bait with a Miami trade and accumulate a bunch of picks. Jedrick Wills should help fill Trent Williams’ spot on DC’ s offensive line.
4. Atlanta Falcons via New York Giants
Isaiah Simmons Defense, Clemson
Falcons give up a lot here to move up but they see an opportunity they like and take advantage. Simmons is a machine that can play anywhere on the field. Great pick by ATL, I love the aggressiveness.
3. Detroit Lions
Chase Young EDGE, Ohio State
An absolute monster on the board at #3. The Lions gotta run from their Winnebago to the podium and pick Young #3.
2. Miami Dolphins Via Washington
Justin Herbert QB, Oregon
Dolphins trade up here for Herbert and they get their quarterback. They only give up their 5th pick, 18th pick and 56th pick to move up. Dolphins still loaded with picks throughout the draft and plenty of chances to strike.
1. Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Burrow QB, LSU
Duh. Heisman winner. National Champion. Stud. ROY.
